Engineers Bill Prior and Jim Kewley form Kinetico in a 40-foot by 40-foot former tire shop.

Early on, Kinetico commits to distributing products through local dealers who understand water chemistry and provide end-to-end service – a model that still exists today.

Kinetico water softener sales milestone in 1982

1982

Annual water softener sales grow to 17,000.

Kinetico headquarters construction begins in 1983

1983

Construction of the Kinetico headquarters and manufacturing plant begins on a 170-acre campus in Northeast Ohio.

Kinetico research and development expansion in 1997

1997

A 25,000-square-foot expansion adds a state-of-the-art research and development wing and analytical laboratory to Kinetico’s facilities.
