Water is the very basis of life, touching everyone and everything. Our need for water is fundamental, yet almost one billion people live without safe drinking water. And the situation is getting worse. A growing population and the way we treat our planet is continually altering this precious resource.
Kinetico is committed to improving the lives of people all over the world. Raising awareness about the world’s water crisis, working with and supporting organizations that are helping people get access to clean water, supporting those in need in our own communities, protecting our natural resources and solving individual water challenges are just a few ways Kinetico is working to make the world a better place.
Kinetico has and continues to sponsor Katie Spotz as she raises awareness for key issues through endurance challenges. Katie, a Kinetico employee, recently set a world record as the youngest person to row solo across the Atlantic Ocean, raising awareness and funds to help provide safe drinking water to thousands. Kinetico will be the Title Sponsor for her next water awareness endeavor. In June 2011, Katie, with her cycling partner Sam Williams, will attempt to set a record in Ride for Your Life!, a 24/7, 3,000-mile bicycle race that they hope to complete in less than nine days.
Kinetico and its employees have a longstanding tradition of giving back at the local level. We are active participants in numerous charitable organizations and perform a variety of volunteering and fundraising efforts such as sponsoring Kids of Steel and the Kinetico Running Festival in Canada, both promoting healthy lifestyles and the importance of hydration.
Authorized, independent Kinetico water professionals also support local charities and organizations in their own communities.
